He confesses these, as he calls it, mortal sins in episode 8 and 9 of the second season. He dies after a fight with the Vice-Captain in that mission in episode 9.home. Third season spoiler: It is later revealed that Tabitha cast a 'fake death' spell and he has been living in Kirche's house. Also she fell in love with him.
